On the day I was born, I scared you with my tiny size and melted your heart with my beautiful eyes.
I’m sorry I don’t sleep, please try not to weep, for your sanity you must try to keep!
I know it’s all new, for me not just for you; together we can do it, this rocky path we will get through it.
Hold my hand and teach me as I grow and I promise you Daddy, I will never let you go.
One day soon, sooner than you think, I’ll be all grown up but don’t you worry, to you I’ll always run home in a hurry.
